BMRC participated in the 6th Meeting of CORFO Technology Programs and Consortiums: 2024 summary, collaboration, progress, and challenges for 2025

As part of its ongoing commitment to science, innovation, and technological development in the country, the Clinical Molecular Biomedicine Technology Consortium (BMRC) took part on the 6th Meeting of CORFO Technology Programs and Consortia.

The event was held at the Santiago Development Corporation (Corporación de Fomento) headquarters and brought together representatives from consortia, public-private programs, government authorities, and strategic stakeholders related to innovation ecosystem.

The activity aimed to present the strategic pillars that will shape CORFO's roadmap through 2025, review the key advances in the initiatives supported by the corporation, and drive collaboration between technology consortia and key stakeholders, including CORFO's Regional Directorates, the Transforma Programs, and several public sector agencies.

Representing BMRC were Dr. Susan Bueno, researcher and alternate director of Project 3.0, and Rebeca Ibacache, general manager. They share with authorities from Corfo and Anid, as well as other leaders of technological innovation projects, highlighting the role of biomedicine in developing concrete solutions to the health challengesthat our country is facing.

"These spaces are essential for strengthening networks and generating synergies between initiatives that, from different spheres, are driving scientific and technological development in Chile. For BMRC, participating in the meeting also means to confirm our work and commitment to solid and applied research with a real impact on people's quality of life," said the General Manager.

Before the event, CORFO organized a virtual Elevator Pitch workshop, led by the Start-Up Chile team. This activity looks to enable each consortium to effectively summarize and present its value proposition in a concise and engaging format. The best pitches were highlighted during the meeting, standing out the strategic communication work that is also part of the development of these programs.

BMRC's participation in this event demonstrates and consolidates a 2024 full of intense work, marked by significant advances in clinical and molecular research, the development of new biotechnological tools, and new collaboration with academic institutions, healthcare centers, and companies in the sector.
Looking ahead to 2025, the consortium plans to consolidate these advances, strengthen its regional impact, and continue developing innovative health solutions.

At BMRC, we deeply value these spaces for meeting and collaboration promoted by CORFO, which allow us to showcase the work carried out, share best practices, and build new partnerships. We thus reaffirm our commitment to Chile's scientific and technological development, promoting excellence in biomedicine with social impact and a vision for the future.
