During the FOCIS Annual Meeting 2026, held in San Francisco, United States, BMRC researchers delivered an outstanding contribution to one of the world’s leading forums in clinical and translational immunology.
Dr. Alexis Kalergis served as Director of the FOCIS Clinical Immunology Course, while Dr. Susan Bueno joined the international faculty for this academic program. In addition, several faculty members from the Institute were invited to chair scientific sessions during the congress, reflecting the international recognition of their expertise and leadership.
Dr. Pablo González and Dr. Leandro Carreño presented the latest advances from their respective research lines. They were joined by early-career researchers Dr. Luisa Duarte and Dr. Hernán Peñaloza, who delivered an oral presentation and a poster presentation, respectively. Postdoctoral researcher Dr. Mónica Farías and doctoral candidate José Tomás Muñoz also presented their work in poster format, showcasing BMRC’s research contributions across different stages of the scientific career path.
Through these contributions, BMRC reaffirms its commitment to research excellence, the training of new generations of scientists, and Chile’s leadership in high-impact international settings in immunology.
